Details

Maranatha Streetworkers Action was established in 1990 as a haven for destitute people from the city. In 2002 the organisation was registered as a Trust,
Non-Profit Organisation and Public Benefit Organisation. The organisation was converted to a Child and Youth Care Centre in 2003. We still care for destitute adults but on a lesser scale.

Maranatha Streetworkers Trust has built up a lot of expertise over the years and shares their knowledge with emerging organisations. We also reach out to other communities, sharing our resources where the need lies.

Maranatha is situated on 143ha of ground rented from the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Various projects are run from the premises, see the projects tab for more information.
